PERUPLAGAS 2019: a look at the event
Editorial coverage of edition 9 on meetings, institutions and update spaces relevant to the pest control industry.
For the fourth consecutive year, for two full days, on September 11 and 12 in the city of Lima in Peru, PERUPLAGAS was organized by the INRO company, the Ricardo Palma University, the College of Biologists of Peru and the National Academy of Sciences. This edition took place in the newly remodeled Daniel Alcides Sanchez Carrión auditorium of the Medical College of Peru with a capacity full of 950 participants, 20% of whom were attendees from countries throughout Latin America. Additionally, there was an area of almost 300 m2 of fair in which 25 stands were organized. Considering that the field of integrated urban pest management is not alien to the advancement of science and technology, the success of PERUPLAGAS focuses on the varied agenda of dissertations with the participation of the most renowned and renowned specialists in the world, as well as the presence of the most relevant formulating and marketing companies in the market, who teach and demonstrate the most innovative in their portfolio. Regarding the presentations, more than 20 speakers participated, including Rubén Bueno from Lokimica – Spain who spoke about the experience of rodent control in Europe, David Liszka from ICB Pharma – Poland who presented the physical-mechanical action product PROVECTA, Raúl Persaud and Daniel De Poli from Univar – USA who spoke about the advantages of synergized pyrethroids such as AQUA KONTROL 30-30, Benjamín Gómez from Econtrol – Mexico who spoke about the future of the IUPM market,
Sergio Bocalini from APRAG – Brazil who spoke about fly control with emphasis on the food industry and Guillermo Tarelli from INRO – Argentina who highlighted the qualities of AROD UV-A light equipment in the framework of monitoring and control of flying insects in areas sensitive to the use of chemical pesticides. In September 2020, the fifth edition of PERUPLAGAS will be held, which seeks to consolidate itself as the most relevant event in the field in Latin America, for which it is planned to prioritize practical demonstration and networking spaces.
