Editorial: eighteenth edition of Latam Plagas
Editorial presentation of the 18th edition, with the axes, context and technical perspective that guide this issue of Latam Plagas.
In a context where environmental health is becoming increasingly relevant for public health, food production and quality of life in our cities, we are pleased to present the 18th edition of LATAMPLAGAS. This issue also marks a special stage for our magazine: a renewal that not only reinforces our commitment to the sector, but also consolidates a new editorial scheme that will allow us to meet regularly, on a quarterly basis. Since its inception, LATAMPLAGAS has sought to be a meeting space for professionals linked to rational pest management. Technicians, environmental health management companies, public health agents, food safety specialists, consultants in specialized data administration, collection and processing systems, as well as human resources trainers, share a common objective here: to raise the standards of an activity that directly impacts people's health and the environment.
sustainability of our environments. The renewal that we present today incorporates new specialized resources, strengthening the technical and professional focus of our content. In this edition, as in those to come, we address key topics related to vector control, urban pest management, food safety and management tools that allow us to increasingly professionalize our industry. We know that knowledge evolves quickly and, therefore, we believe it is essential to create a space for permanent updating for those who work every day in the field. But LATAMPLAGAS is not just a technical publication. It is also a window to the world of the sector. Our international section brings together experiences, trends and developments that are being implemented in different countries, allowing us to broaden our perspective and learn from diverse realities. At the same time, the global agenda continues to be a fundamental tool to disseminate congresses, fairs, seminars and meetings that promote the exchange of knowledge and strengthen the professional pest management community.
